33rd Annual Antique Show Opens Memorial Day Weekend in Avalon

The Bayberry Twigs Branch of the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host their 33rd Annual Antique Show during the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.

This show will feature over 20 quality antique dealers and will open on Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Avalon Community Hall located at 30th Street and the Beach in Avalon.

A donation of $3 provides admission into the show.

A wide assortment of antiques, including glass, china, and furniture will be offered for sale by dealers from throughout the Delaware Valley. Pieces range from fine antique furniture to unique kitchen collectibles and jewelry. Read more…

Brastilo and Pieter Maes to Debut New Contemporary Furniture Collection at ICFF

Concern about environment enters world of home furnishings

The environment and climate change have become current and definitive topics in the design of home furnishings.

At Milan’s furniture trade show, for example, designers showed several applications of reusable or recycled materials.

In addition, concerns about the environment are being conveyed, somewhat cryptically, by the use of crystalline and polygonal forms. They require less materials without causing the quality of the furniture to suffer.
